Message from the President

Dear Rochester Chapter Members-

I am not usually one to begin with a quote, but recently this quote spoke volumes to me; “I try not to make any decisions that I’m not excited about.” —Jake Nickell, Threadless founder and CEO. And this year I have to say I am very excited about the events, programs and networking opportunities that the Rochester Chapter of the IMA is bringing to you. Over the course of the summer the board of directors was busy making plans and charting out the next fiscal year. We have some wonderful programs coming up, and back by popular demand are virtual learning events via webinar.

Our 1st event to start off the year was a networking tour of the Red Wings Baseball Stadium down in High Falls. The members who joined were able to gain 1 CPE while also taking in beautiful views of the city, as well as exploring the stadium grounds. Our usher showed off the premium box seating, as well as the detailed maintenance of the field. Everyone enjoyed the game that followed.

We also have had our first webinar of the year. A wonderful presentation from Toni Spina about the differences in leading each generation. Many work places now find that they have up to 4 generations of employees which can make meeting each of their needs more difficult.

We have many more events planned for this year so be sure to look at your emails and to check out our new website found at Rochester.IMAnet.org.
